Women's Group

The women of St. Alexis Orthodox Church meet monthly in a study/discussion group. The purpose of our organization is to provide time for busy Orthodox women to affiliate with others seeking to explore and expand their understanding of what it means to be an Orthodox Christian and an Orthodox woman, to live in the world, but not be "of" the world. We'll read and discuss a short article about the faith, watch a film or demonstration, or discuss our common challenges as mothers, professionals, businesswomen, homemakers, students, retired women, etc. Topics and activities are selected by the group. Also, each month one participant volunteers to report on a female saint of her choosing who can serve as model for us.
